A Recent History of LCMS Hmong Mission Work in Eau Claire: Rev. Yia Vang began his mission work in Eau Claire to the Hmong in 1991 when he served as a vicar at Epiphany Lutheran. He is now serving at Hope Lutheran, Milwaukee, as well as Missionary-at-Large to the Hmong in the South Wisconsin District of the LCMS.
A renewed outreach has been underway sine the fall of 1999. A Hmong Mission Task Force was formed from the representatives from the congregations in the Eau Claire area.
In the summer of 2007 we added a part-time Mission Developer, Rev. Joe Schultz (ret.). He serves the mission by helping raise visibility and to seek funding for the mission.
